Which makes a better pet, dog or cat?

I pick Both because they are playful. Dogs can mostly do everything like: jump, roll over, beg and bark if something bad is happening And cats can lots of stuff like: annoy you, scratch you, bite you, and also be friendly.

I have three dogs they are very friendly but only two of them run around their names are: Sassy,Alli and George. Alli is older than George and Sassy, George is very very very friendly to new people he can get a little bit over excited and start to bark at the new people. Sassy is really weird she runs and rolls, Alli runs around too but she doesn't play with George and Sassy.

I have a few cats they are cute but annoying, most of my cats are tabby and ginger, i have like 2 multi coloured cats. I have a white cat with ginger spots, it's very playful and it likes to roll on the ground. One of the tabby cats I have it's a food hogger it sits in front of the biscuit holder and then eats and eats the biscuits. I have a cat called Casper she's an older cat, she thinks she's the queen of the house but she's not she will attack you if you scratch her stomach, well she won't attack you but she will bite.

Cats and Dogs are animals that are playful. There are different kinds of dogs and cats so the different kinds of dogs are: Labrador, German Shepherd, Sausage Dog, Huskies and Dalmatian, they are all so cute. There are different kinds of cats, at first I thought this wasn't true “a sausage cat” but it's real. All I can really say is cats and dogs are equal, there are different types of people there can be a cat lover or a dog lover of animal lovers.

I’d say I like any animals not just cats and dogs there's: birds, fish, lions,cheetahs, tigers, rainbow fish, giraffe, rhino, guinea pigs, rabbits and bunnies. I wouldn't have a lion, cheetah, tiger,giraffe or a rhino as a pet because they might kill you but they are animals that need to be cared for too. If you were a zoo keeper you would feed those animals, it would be funny if you got licked by a giraffe because giraffes are so tall.

If you like animals be a zookeeper or a vet to look after animals because we need to look after every animals even though we don't like them. I like both of them because they are so cute.

Castle midnight

It was the night of dead

All that could be heard was the muffled beating of the creature’s enormous wings as it soared through the inky-black sky. Behind it, at the end of a frayed length of rope, sat the coachman. Coat wrapped tightly around his broad shoulders, his mission tonight was a straightforward one: to escort the two strangers to Castle Midnight. It all seemed straightforward to him. Even if it wasn’t, he always did as the Master bade. No one ever dared to disobey the Master, especially on a night such as this…

The night went such on as they planned to do, as they were getting closer and closer to the black death water, the wheel touched the water skinning the wheel to the metal sculpture, They had a little bump that made the planning schedule wrong the big monster thing was sure to go the other way and the monster went the wrong way, the monster took the coachman to the graveyard instead of the castle midnight.

Ohh c'mon yelled the coachman I spilt water all over me at least it was water proof boots and pants, the coachman was standing up in the flying black thing and the monster stopped very fast and smack goes the coachman flying into the wall, the coachman fell out of the cart, he face planted into dirty mud his face was covered in mud. The coachman got up and said “this is the wrong place stupid monster” take me to the castle midnight this time don’t get it wrong. So then the monster went again, this time the coachman put the doors on lock and shut the windows, it was pouring down with rain and he didn’t have the good looking clothes, as they flew across the land and water, the monster was tired and couldn’t go fast but they were like ten minutes away.

The coachman said i'll give you some food when we get there, so as he said that he was shutting the window there was thunder and lighting pouring hard rain, the monster had a big jacket to keep warm while taking the coachman to the castle midnight, it's on a humongous hill, it was hard for the monster to get up the hill, when the monster dropped the coachman off, the coachman looked at the monster and nodded his head then he walked away. The big monster flew away, the coachman had to walk a little more because the monster could only go to the parking spot, there was walls and lights until the master turned them off and the coachman was walking in the dark, and he smashed his face into a wall, Owww that hurt he said, The coachman yelled it’s me the coachman turn them back on, The master didn’t talk back, so the coachman just walk feeling the walls and he saw light it was the end of the tunnel, the master said nothing. After the coachman got out of the tunnel. The master ran down, he had a bow, that he shoot the coachman, the master shoot the coachman because he was not sure who he was, the master dropped the bow and ran back inside the castle and that was the end.

She could feel the cold, wet slime dripping slowly from her fingertips, but it didn’t bother her. Her hands were still, steady, without fear: she had been eagerly awaiting this moment.

All she could think about was the creature in front of her, finally escaped from its cage. It had hatched. It was time…

To find a bush that was cosy and warm for the creature, as the time was ticking and the darkness was going deeper and deeper to sudden darkness, she was walking slowly and slowly as she got to the bush that she wanted and it had a flax door! She was normally supposed to be home at 5:00pm she didn’t have a time or anything to contact someone. She wanted to walk back but it was to dark, so she stayed at the bush with the egg don’t know what to do with it, she stayed there the night, as she shut her eye’s to go to sleep something happened to the egg……

 The egg was rocking and it started to glow, the girl opened her eyes, as she opened them a big what!?!?! She said, the colour was rainbow but it had green slime/goo. She wanted to keep it but she couldn’t because she had no food or anything for it. As she was looking for something to eat for herself, at her house her mum was worried, she was worried aswell what she was going to eat, she found a box……

Inside that box was a food and water storage with juice, macaroni, potato and gravy with sausages, water, some yummy ice cream and doughnuts! Anyway she ate some of that. It was yum ‘she said’ after she took the food inside the bush with her, there was blankets there a roof and mostly everything so if it rained she wouldn't get wet, there was a pair of clothing with pants, t-shirt and shoes plus socks. That's all she needed, for this moment, but she didn’t need all that stuff, she didn’t put them on

The girl was eating the food and she had too much food in the basket so she gave some to the creature but the creature didn’t eat it, the creature wasn’t going to eat it because the creature was sick but she didn’t know. As she packed everything up she, used the food bad as a pillow and used the napkins as a big blankets, she layed down with a scared thought in her head, what she was going to do with the creature.

The creature was making these weird noises as the girl was trying to sleep, it was like puking and sounds like crying but wasn’t, she couldn’t get to sleep. She was so tired to even look at the creature at this moment, she couldn’t fell her feet as she moved around, the moment when she shut her eye’s she felt like she had nothing to hold or nothing beside her to keep her warm when she was cold. The creature was rolling around in the egg, the girl heard cracks, and when she was lying down she just blocked her ears and shut her eyes again and fell asleep.

The next morning she woke up the egg was gone, she still had food  she ate the cold macaroni ‘yum’ she said, she had a drink of juice, and she got a jersey on to keep warm it was a bit chilly. She was scared because the egg was gone and she couldn’t find the egg. Her knees that had blood, the blood dried up. She was ready to go home, so she headed off home. Half way home she found parts of the egg broken she ran because she got really scared. She hit her house she ran inside and said ‘mum’ she ran to her mum, hugged her and said I got lost…..

World War One

In World War 1 it was 28 July 1914, My name is Susie Davey, This is my story. My dad is in the war probably fighting now, my mum sent me away to the war to see my dad. On the way I found guns and I grabbed one I saw some dead bodies laying around me while I was walking to my dad, I had blood on me it was disgusting, the gun was full ammo I shot a bullet and…..

Then people started to shoot at me but I ran behind a trench, then I moved a little and fell in the trench, I started to bleed but it wasn’t to bad. One of the war people said “are you alright” I said “yeah I’m fine”. After I got out of the trench I had been covered with dirt, it was getting dark and darker as I was walking it was really loud but then I thought and said to myself…..

I’ve always wanted a sister or a twin  it would be fun because I would have someone to play, sleep,cry and hug with, But I never had any of those. Now I have to find my dad I hope he’s ok. It was so loud I have found a little cabin I was like score for me and no one was is it but then I thought if someone blows this up i'm going to die, so I changed my mind and said “I'm sleeping like the army men do but i'm a army girl…. There was shadows and I was scared it was about 7:40 pm so I started to fall asleep.

I woke up at 12:30 at midnight I said to myself “I need to see my dad I haven't seen him for 2 years” I started to cry and keep crying, I really felt like I had a sister or twin. Then it had been 30 minutes passed by… another half an hour passed by, then I heard a weird noise in the sky and it was coming down really fast then it hit the ground and exploded I went flying far away from there I walked the opposite way to find who find crashed that plane, my ankle was really saw, as I limped while walking I was trying to run because it was getting to dusty, I tripped over and landed on my ankle again I cried and walked away from my pain. There was lots of gunshots and I nearly got shot but I dodged it. I keep walking and I found this little cook station.

I couldn't find my dad anywhere but then I thought I could go to flanders field just to see if my dad died…. 2 hours later, my dad didn't die I had picked a poppy I said “yes my dad is alive yay” he must be in the war somewhere. I ran to the war he must be somewhere I said. I was still running and I heard a gunshot I saw my dad and I saw this other kid running to my dad I was shocked that another kid was running to my dad I thought that my dad didn’t want me didn’t want to have me as a kid so I got ANGRY and I pushed the kid over and said “That’s my dad if you touch him I will yell at you” my dad said “you both look the same it's like your twins are yous?” we said we don't know each other or never seen each other so I said “what's your name?” She answered with “my name is Susan” and I said “my name is Susie” She said “wow cool name we nearly have the same names” I said “yeah….” So we didn’t know we had a twin sister it was pretty cool to have a twin sister so our dad had to go fight again but we got sent home on a plane and we don't have the same mum but Susan’s my offered if my mum wanted to have Susan my mum said “yes I will you may come and visit and any of that stuff ya know?” she said “yeah well anyway goodbye.”

Top team games

Top team games

Yesterday the 5th after the duffy lady it was around play time and we had to have a early lunch because we had the top team games. At the top team games there was 14 games, skis, team building, hoops, nz map, water games, memory game, memory maze.

The ski games was super hard because charlie was not moving at all so we all mostly didn't move. Charlie was biting his fingernails while we were trying to move and we yelled charlie but he didn't listen and he moved when we weren't moving that was hard.

Hoops were really fun because I got 5 and the others got 3 or the other number, it was fun that was my favourite because i'm a good thrower but Aimee got a three, three times. Myha was sortof good she got one there and no more she missed most of her turns.

The water game was the first one my group, very cold and not warm some were warm, but most freezing. I got a face full of freezing cold water. I loved going there and having lots of fun but my group had to do the cold one first, at least we dried up doing to the other games.

On wednesday the 5th, Diana Queenin came to our school, she brought her treasures that she had discovered over the years- she has gone to. She had lots to show us, there was fossils, geodes, horseshoe crabs.

The stingrays are the horseshoe crab they have a barb sticking out of there back to pre teched them if a predators are coming behind or infront. Orcas take the barbs out and spit them out and chop their prey up. The orcas take the barb out because if they don’t they will stab them. The horseshoe crab had ten eyes and shaped weird.

Fossils are when something not here anymore, that they have,like they have been there for more the 100 years and has grown into the rock, they look cool but it needs time to go into the rock. It looks like they have drawn into it.

Geodes are a rock that has been cut into two halves that have crystals that people have coloured purple to look cool and more expensive to the normal one. They look really rare but they are not some can be.

The lady brought snake skin the snake takes it skin off by a rock it's kinda gross I thought. Our teacher Miss Smith tried to not pull a face because she does not like snakes but she had to hold the snake skin, I wouldn't like it either.

Safe cycling- Maddie

Safe cycling

On tuesday the 4th we had safe cycling, with constable Jos and constable Terry, they came to help/teach our classroom 2 how to bike safely on the road, we have 27 people in our classroom and 8 of us had to borrow constable Jos’s bikes and the other 19 brought their bikes. Constable Jos talked for quite awhile on how to use the helmet and how to do the ‘m’ check and all sorts of other stuff.

It was play time at 10:30 so we went for play, after play time we got on the bikes and started the ‘m’ check on our bikes, the ‘m’ check is when you have to check all the nuts and bolts on your bike, see if you’re tyre is pumped and ready to go, we all had gear bikes

where you can change the gears.

Second we got on our bikes and constable terry came ‘yay’ they set up some obstacles course that we done like zig zag, straight then stops, turning, after we had a challenge we had to go slowest but we were on our bikes, we were moving it was just who ever was the best 4 or 5 had another challenge to who could be the best and it was…….. William the people who were in the top 4 to 5 was Fynely, Patrick, William, Jessica and Me, there was a boy one and a girl one but the best ones got to vs each other girls and boys, while we did that constable jos and constable terry we setting up another obstacle course that had ramps,ladders and cones.

After the obstacle course's it was around lunch time and after lunch we went on the road, we we learning hand signals, road rules,road rules for intersections, look over your right shoulder, 1 meter from the gutter/curb, how to do the ‘m’ check and how to put your helmet on correctly- like put your thumb on you chin before you clip it up- make sure it's comfortable and fits you good-perfect and if it's uncomfortable get the right one that fits you. After the one round of the road one we had another turn because we were all next to each other and we didn't use them good. I was pretty good at biking because i was on a better bike than my real one the other people were

Science Roadshow- Maddie

Science Roadshow

At the high school a couple days, a week. It costed 12 dollars. Room 2 went to a science roadshow. We went from 12:15 till 2:00, after they showed us a couple things we got to go try some other science display, they were cool.

Morgan and I were looking at this science thing it was when you pull this a long stick out of metal and a big ball stuck to it and we pulled it, it was kinda heavy, after we pulled it this ping pong ball flew up and went straight back down, it was cool plus there was heaps of activities that we tried to go to but we didn’t do all of them. After we did some I wanted to go back to do it again because some were really cool. Well I did it again Morgan came with me because she liked it to.

Then we had to sit back down and the talked for about 20 minutes before we had to go. They talked about science for 20 minutes. The science was really cool my favourite was the ball lift, that was my favourite one because it was big and it like a second to go up and down it was pretty cool and I wanted to have it because it's cool. Everyone should of tried it. Then after the 20 minutes we had to go (sad).

I am as quick a cheetah but when I go sit down on the chair at home i'm a lazy Potato that doesn’t move.

The beach is a sandy place with water that comes up and washes whatever is on the beach like sticks and stones, when you're in the water the stones hit you feet, it hurts.

When I was eleven Caitlin,Ethan,Louie,Bailey,Tash and Dave took the dogs for a walk the other night at the beach the dogs are Kasse and charlie, First Dave took Kasse and charlie in the car because they got too excited when we put the led on them but Dave took it off because they were crazy in the car, Caitlin,Ethan,Louie,Bailey,Tash and I walked to the beach. When we all got to the beach Caitlin yelled ‘dad’ wait for us! Because Dave was walking down to the water, then Caitlin had to take Charlie or he would be gone, I went down to the water, I took my shoes off before I went in the water.

After about half an hour the water was really weird like there was waves everywhere. Tash and me were by the water and this big wave came and got me wet Tash ran up to the stones and it nearly took me out but lucky I'm fast, Caitlin was laughing I ran up to her and took her down to the water and the wave came I held her and it got her because I ran back up when It was going to hit her. Tash had charlie and Dave had Kasse I wanted to walk charlie but he didn’t want to go in the water.

About an hour later we were walking back from the sandy hill’s I think it’s called the stone crushes, I was walking charlie since there was no water near the stone crushes, charlie ran and ran charlie had his lead I was running then we got back from the beach and we went back to Caitlin’s house. Caitlin and I had to go in the car though. Then we got to Caitlin’s house and Caitlin and I had to have a shower because we had sand everywhere on us I mean everywhere, then we got changed.

At the end of this we got changed then we all got to go in the car to get a frozen coke but I call them a frozen cola, anyway we got in the car and we got five frozen coke’s and one top choc cone and a normal coke for Dave had the normal coke and Tash had the top choc cone. Then we drove back to Caitlin’s, then we drunk our frozen coke’s, Tash ate her choc top cone and Dave drunk his coke.

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander, Because.

What we have here now, like house’s, food, family, cars to transport us to places we need to be and all sorts of stuff and plus we have internet to contact people and we have phones to do it aswell. People in other countries have to take dangerous ways to get to school, mostly anywhere. In New Zealand we can have home’s to keep us warm but like other countries have a little shelter that humongus lots of people have to stay in to keep warm and not be in cold weather. I'm talking about the poor not rich and fancy the rich and wealthy people should go and help the poor. The rich can buy humongous loads of stuff like cars, boats, another house but they won't use the house they brought, they will leave it there and it will sit there untill… it might be bashed down, broken down from a gang.

As kids that live in Japan,China, Korea, some kids really want to go to school but it takes to long, like china there is a school half way up a mountain, there is a path cut out for the kids to walk up through the mountain. In New Zealand we have these two islands one is the North Island and the other one is the South Island and Stewart island it's tiny it's at the bottom of the South Island. We are lucky to have homes, family here with us, friends and our pets. We don’t have wars here in New Zealand. We don’t have strangers come into our school and shot us.

In some schools across the world it takes about 2-3-4 hours maybe 5 hours! But some kids that have cars, something to get to school in or on like a bike, you’re lucky because the kids out there don’t have the stuff we have don’t have mostly anything.The kids that walk to school are good but they walk a short distance instead like people that have houses they walk past they can say what a good country we have and they see broken houses and no houses only little shelters that are keeping babies warm because if they are cold they might die of the coldness if it's cold for the babies. If you were a baby and that was you what would you do?

New Zealand is a beautiful place to live in, it's nice, beautiful, perfect, you have citys not dirt mountains. Mountains are a tall hill make out of dirt or some other sort that could fall on … you. Would you want to die?

There are chances that you will die in the countries that have wars, killing, school kids shot dead, no booms and no shooting people. The kids in america schools can get killed by killers or shooters that kill people.

The people who kill kids at schools, they always have a mask on because if they don’t they will be caught by the security camera if they have one and then they catch the person who is doing it.

My hair is like a smoothie poured over my head

When i brush it, it drips.

My brain is a working thing in my head that gives me idea’s.

My eyebrows are like bumpy roads when a car’s going on it.

My stomach is like a monster growling and it shakes my body.

My eye’s open to breathe and see and when they shut they stop.

My teeth are like bones crunching when the brake and full out.

My hands are so small, people can't even see them.

My feet are like little tiny mountain’s moving everywhere.

My ear’s are a beat that plays music.

My shoes are a size way too big but they fit, size 6 or 3 fit perfectly.

My eyelashes full down when I cry

My heartbeat beat’s like a drum but it doesn’t make sounds  

Make someone’s day your day, your dreams have no limit’s, love your life and you're a human not a lazy potato.
